Hi Melany. Thanks for reaching out. You know, the writing was the liberation. Expressing my loss and love was what helped me to metabolize the whole thing. Happy walking & writing. I write in my head while I hike every day here in Northern CA. ox

This is wonderful, Meredith. Lady J shines through beautifully! It also hits home, as I had a similar experience. A good friend and I had drifted apart, mostly due to no longer living in the same state. I had vivid dream about her one night, some 10+ years after we'd last seen each other. I went on Facebook to send her a message about it, only to learn she had passed away a couple of months before. I reached out to her husband, who had dreamt about her that same night, and in his dream she told him she was visiting a friend. I've never been a super spiritual person, but it sure seems like love can bring us back together for one last conversation, even after we pass on. May your friendship with Lady J be a blessing to you always.

Jen. Thank you for sharing your story and for loving my poem. It's wild, isn't? That they found us in dreams. And even more so that your friend's husband dreamed of her the same night and she said she was visiting probably, you! I feel like love is an energetic thread that knows no barriers and weaves us together with those we open ourselves with and hold close. I'm sorry you didn't get to say goodbye to your friend, but like Jennifer with me, it sounds like she came to say g'bye to you. Thank you, again. xoox

"an energetic thread" - I really think you are onto something with that - I felt the same when I read the line in the poem about the tiny suns. What was that thing we learned in school, energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed. By the way, is it ok if I share this poem on social media?

Oooh! Yes! I agree. We are all tiny suns. Yes, please share and deep thanks. Please include my bio if possible so people can find my books & workshops. Love being in touch. You made my day.

Such a beautiful piece about the grudges we carry and hold. I shared it urging others to reach out before it’s too late.

Kelly, thank you. Seems so silly now that I'd lost all those years of friendship with her. She still comes to me on some days with a wise and funny quip. Good call to remind others to reach out to the ones we love, now! Thank you. oxxo
