I'm still thinking about what I might be reading that would fit here, but I wanted to say I'm impressed with you for taking the time to list all this for everyone, especially when focusing is hard for most people right now.

Hags: the Demonization of Middle Aged Women by Victoria Smith. A deep dive into incels and the hatred of women. Left me shaken, frankly. Excellent read.

I just finished Doppelganger and feel like I might have to reread it to make sense of it all. Or, at least, go back to the beginning to see how it connects to the middle and end. But I suspect that at the end of this year, I will consider it one of the more important books I read.

It’s certainly a fascinating and complex read. It was nothing like I expected.

This is such a great list! Currently reading Doppelgänger which was heartbreakingly written before this past election. 😑

I feel like Monsters by Claire Dederer could also go on this list. Also Emergent Strategy and Pleasure Activism by adrienne maree brown.
